" Through his website, and forum/blog, he has presented the entire technique of Pistol-Shooting in an extremely simplified, systematic, scientific manner, with detailed description and information of each fragmented component which when ‘defragmented’ or ‘assembled’ gives a lucid & an almost magical picture of the correct technique of shooting the ‘Perfect Shot’.”

Hello friends,

I have been receiving a lot of questions, regarding how your sight alignment will affect your groupings. Assuming you understand correct ‘follow through’, then it is recommended for beginners that your sight alignment should be as shown in the video.

For beginners, the gap between the front and rear sights should be one half the width of the front sight because it is easier for the beginner to observe the movement of the front sight and it is easier for him to control the movement of the front sight.

Some shooters have their sight alignment with the rear sight and the front sight gap, very thin and very narrow. This is not recommended for beginners because it is extremely difficult for them to control the front sight.

Assuming you have the gap between the front and rear sight one half the width of the front sight, then if your group is something as shown in this clip, reducing the gap between the front and rear sights definitely helps in reducing your group size, provided you understand and execute each shot with the correct ‘follow through’.

However when you start shooting, it is recommended that you have the gap between the front and rear sight equal to one half the width of your front sight and later on as your control improves you can reduce the gap between the front and rear sights and this will definitely help you to have tighter groups.
