" Through his website, and forum/blog, he has presented the entire technique of Pistol-Shooting in an extremely simplified, systematic, scientific manner, with detailed description and information of each fragmented component which when ‘defragmented’ or ‘assembled’ gives a lucid & an almost magical picture of the correct technique of shooting the ‘Perfect Shot’.”

Hello friends,

where should I hold my sights on the target, or what is the correct or best place to have my sights within the aiming area on my target? Should it be here, here, here, here or here? (refer to video).

You will be surprised that Olympic medalists and world champions hold their sights anywhere from the edge of the black to the bottom of the target frame.

It does not matter where you hold your sights; what matters is that you should be able to see the sights in clear, sharp focus before, during, and after the shot is fired.

Due to a lack of confidence, a beginner’s focus shifts from the sights to the target and from the target to the sights. It keeps flicking back and forth from his sights to the target because he’s not confident of whether his sights are within his aiming area or not, as a result his grouping and his shots are not very good

So, what is important is not where you hold your sights—it can be anywhere, as shown in the video—from the edge of the black to the bottom of the target frame. What is important is that your sight should be in sharp focus before, during, and after the shot is fired, which is called’ focus follow-through’.

Remember this rule, if your sights are in sharp focus before during and after the shot is fired. And this is for beginners, try this out, Discipline yourself when the sights come into the aiming area, maintain a sharp focus before, during, and after the shot is fired as shown in the video.

Once again, it doesn’t really matter where you hold your sights as long as you maintain focus follow- through.
